The Sony NEX-FS700R 4K Ready is a Sony NEX-FS700U that’s been hardware-upgraded to support 4K shooting. Please note that we also carry the more feature-rich Sony PXW-FS7 4K. Key features include:
RAW Video. The upgrade enables the camera to shoot 12-bit 2K RAW and 4K RAW video when used with the Sony HXR-IFR5 Interface Unit and Sony AXS-R5 4K Recorder Kit. We’ve also created a Sony FS7/FS700R 4K Recorder Kit that includes all the items you need to start shooting 4K with the FS700R 4K camera.
Multiple Frame-Rate Options. You can record 4K RAW at up to 60 fps, while you can record 2K RAW at up to 240 fps. You can also shoot shorter 4K-RAW bursts at 120 fps by recording to buffer.
Simultaneous In-Camera Recording. While this camera records 4K RAW files to an external device, it can simultaneously record AVCHD files to an internal SDXC memory card just as the FS700 did.
New Gamma Curves. Two new gamma curves are available: S-Log2 and 800% ITU70.
Record-Trigger Commands. With the hardware upgrade, this camera now has record-trigger commands embedded in the HDMI and SDI uncompressed digital outputs for use with outboard recorders.
Power Zoom Support. You can now control the Sony 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 E PZ OSS with the zoom lever on the camera grip.
Please Note. In order to shoot 4K RAW, you must also have the HXR-IFR5 Interface Unit and AXS-R5 4K Recorder Kit. These items are also available in our Sony FS7/FS700R 4K Recorder Kit. You’ll also need a BNC cable.
