This Teradek MK3.1 wireless lens control kit lets users control an included single axis lens control motor from up to 5000 ft., positioning this product as a high-sensitivity wireless follow focus. Important to note is that Teradek describes this distance as line-of-sight outdoors in ideal conditions. A more reasonable expectation would be around 3000 ft outdoors and 1000 ft when used indoors or in areas with heavy wireless interference.

Powerful, Lightweight Motor. The MK3.1 brushless motor puts 2.2Nm of torque to your lens gears while maintaining smooth precise movement. The motors are near-silent even at fast speeds, and the rail attachment accepts both 15mm and 19mm accessory rods. Backlash compensation accommodates a wide selection of geared cine lenses.

6-Axis Wireless Controller. A 6-axis controller gives you tons of options for manipulating attached motors including two small side knobs, a slider control, and one large focus knob. Each control device type can be mapped onto any lens axis and can even be used to control record start/stop on compatible cameras (required cable not included). Specific to the 6-axis version of the control is a “force joystick” button for smoother, more sensitive zooms. One Canon LP-E6N battery powers the controller for an impressive 36 hours.

Lightweight Receiver Module. A 4in, 4 oz. receiver mounts to your camera via a 1/4"-20 threaded hole and controls lens motors with a thin, flexible, 24" cable. An auxiliary port allows for wired control, and the multicolored LED gives real-time feedback about connection status.
