In order to safely ship or travel with lithium-ion batteries, the batteries must be below a 30% charge.
We offer the Anton Bauer LPD Travel Discharger – V-Mount, which discharges four 90 WH batteries in three hours or less, as a separate rental item.
The FAA have changed their guidelines dealing with rechargeable lithium-ion battery packs. If during baggage inspection the TSA finds batteries that are not in compliance with their rules, they will discard them, and we will charge you for the missing equipment. Consider shipping ahead to a FedEx store if you will be traveling to your shoot location.
