The Aputure amaran Ray 120c RGB LED Monolight is an ultra-slim, travel-ready fixture with twice the output of the 60c. Key features include:
Colorful Compact COB. Powered by the OmniColor light engine, the ultra-portable Ray 120c ensures that what you see is what you capture. You have access to 360° of color control, 12 lighting effects, and 0-100% stepless brightness control. Color remains consistent from eye to camera, reflecting true skin tones thanks to expanded red and blue ranges and an overall wider 1,800-20,000K CCT range. All of this is packed into a fixture that’s under 6" wide and weighs a little over one pound! This light has an output of approximately 6,850 lux at 3.3’.
Flexible Powering and Modifying. The Ray 120c is wall-powered out of the box but is equipped with a USB-C port with PD support and is compatible with the amaran Peak 75 portable battery grip (not included). This light does include the Octa Dome 30 softbox, which is a (nearly) 12" soft light modifier with a convenient quick-release rod design that makes it super easy to set up. The Ray 120c sports a full-size Bowens mount, so you can pair it with a wide selection of modifiers. This also includes a baby pin adapter grip for placing on a light stand.
High-Range Pairing and Weather Tough. Quickly operate the Ray 120c either directly on the light or with the amaran app using Bluetooth or NFC. Bluetooth offers a generous 262.5’ wireless range and the simple screen menu and FlowTurn knob make onboard operation easy. The IP54 rating means you can keep shooting through the elements, withstanding light rain, wind, sand, and humid climates. The built-in fan is quiet but also has a silent mode for critical scenes.
A Few Warnings. This light gets hot. Please be very careful when using it and ensure it has completely cooled down before packing it up. Though this light is water-resistant, it is not to be submerged or exposed to more than just light rain. Lastly, never block the ventilation grills. Air flow is required to keep the light running safely.
