What’s Changed? This continuation of the NOVA series uses the P600c as its building blocks, but with a more powerful light output and the integration of the BLAIR chipset. It’s about the same size as previous generations, but outputs a massive 1000W of light compared to the 600W of its predecessor.
BLAIR Chip Project. Innovation meets power with the workhorse that is the Aputure NOVA II 2×1 RGB LED Panel. Sporting an Aputure-developed BLAIR-CG chipset, this studio light features blue, lime, amber, indigo, red, cyan, and green emitters. This groundbreaking chipset helps boost color accuracy and brightness levels, and offers a full CCT range of 1800 to 20,000K, seven multicolor diodes for improved color-matching, and 100% + / – green adjustment. Additionally, the STORM scores a 95 rating for CRI/TCLI standards and a Rf 95 / Rg 100 TM-30 rating at 3200 and 5600K color temperatures.
Fixture Controls. You can make all adjustments on the unit or itself or from up to 328.1-feet away over Bluetooth, wireless CRMX, or the Sidus Link/Link Pro apps (download links in Resources section). The unit can also be controlled via wired DMX512-A support!
No Flicker or Color Shift Under Any Conditions. With this soft panel, you’ll have the ability to adjust dimming from 0.1 to 100%, and shoot at any frame rate, at any shutter angle, and at any level of panel intensity without fear of flicker or color shift. Its IP65 weather rating even covers you during inclement forecasts!
AC and DC Power. There’s an included 100 to 240 VAC power supply, but the NOVA II is great for location shoots with optional auxiliary power via a 5-pin XLR 48V/15A DC battery input.
Mounting. The 41-pound light features a combo baby receiver/junior pin yoke for mounting and positioning, so you’ll need to rent the Kupo 6.7-foot Low Mighty Combo Stand or have a similar compatible heavy-duty stand. Sandbagging is highly encouraged.
