Creative Lighting in Any Location. At only a foot wide and 8.5’ tall, the CHAUVET DJ EZBeam Q3 is built specifically for the mobile entertainer. It is battery-powered with 9-20 hours of life, depending on the light patterns used, and it is fanless with no moving parts for silent operation. This is a good feature for environments like art galleries, yoga studios, and theaters. You have the option of wall power for continuous use and it also has a power-out port so that one of these units can power link with up to 10-18 units depending on voltage used. Some CHAUVET fixtures power link with powerCON cables but the EZBeam Q3 uses IEC link cables.

Versatile Control Options. The EZBeam Q3 is part of CHAUVET DJ’s Integrated Lighting System for creating coordinated light shows without any knowledge of DMX and it is compatible with the IRC-6 remote and the ILS Command (note that some parameters will not be available for this fixture, such as Moving Head). It comes equipped with D-Fi for use with the D-Fi USB 2 Wireless DMX Transceiver so that you can connect multiple units without relying on DMX cables. If you want to stick with cables, this fixture has 3-pin DMX in and out ports supporting up to 4 different profiles: 6, 9, 14, and 17 channels. Complementing these is a sound-activation mode and automatic programs so that you can be as complex as you’d like or just keep it simple.

Quad-Color Effects. This light uses RGBA in its 3 LED heads. These support a number of effects, including petal beams, wall wash, and strobing. Each lens has a removable frost filter, which makes sharp beams look much more ethereal. The whole fixture tilts 180º for up-lighting and it is truss-compatible with a separate Omega-style bracket (not included). Otherwise, it sits unobtrusively on the floor or on a table. Each lens produces a 16-24º beam angle, which is suitable for punchy beams in small-to-medium-sized rooms.
