Rental
Available Tomorrow
GoPro’s HERO8 Black is a compact and rugged action camera that captures wide-angle 4K/60p video to a single microSD card slot. The successor, the HERO9 is now available for rental. These are the features we’re most excited about:
Improved HyperSmooth 2.0 video stabilization
Vertical video support and built-in live streaming
Captures UHD 4K up to 60 fps, 2.7K up to 120 fps, Full HD up to 240 fps
Streamlined body design for additional usability and durability
Video Tech
The GoPro Hero 8 was hailed as the gimbal killer though I wouldn’t quite go that far. While the stabilization is much improved over the Hero 7, it still is no replacement for a gimbal in my opinion...
No, this camera’s default configuration doesn’t have an HDMI port. There are various GoPro mods that offer additional functionality, such as the GoPro Media Mod for HERO8 Black, GoPro Light Mod for HERO8 Black, and GoPro Display Mod for HERO8 Black. These are all available as separate rental items.
While previous-gen batteries are technically compatible with the HERO8, there are some limitations regarding stabilization and frame rates. We suggest only using the new AJBAT-001.
