What’s Changed? The Hasselblad X2D II 100C Medium Format Mirrorless Camera features upgrades to autofocus, image stabilization, and color flexibility, that when paired with improved physical features like a redesigned grip, a focus point selection and menu navigation joystick, and manages to stay under two pounds even with the battery, making it even lighter than its predecessor.
Built for Stills. The X2D II remains a stills-only, medium-format mirrorless camera with unparalleled image quality. The 100 megapixel CMOS sensor offers 15.3 stops of dynamic range, and a wide ISO range of 50 to 25,600 ensures performance and quality in a variety of lighting conditions. To back up low-light support, 5-axis in-body image stabilization compensates for ten stops of camera shake, maintaining focus on far away subjects and enabling handheld long exposures. The improved autofocus features 425 focus points and a LiDAR sensor, along with updated focus point modes like Expand Spot, Custom, and Wide, offering more autofocus precision for a variety of subjects. For the first time, continuous autofocus makes an appearance in a Hasselblad camera, leaning on deep learning algorithms to detect and focus on fast moving subjects.
Fix it in Post? No need! The X2D II is the first medium format camera to feature end-to-end HDR capture- images are captured and processed in HDR and displayed on the OLED monitor, so you can actually see the image at full quality on the spot, enabling on-location adjustments rather than relying on post-processing fixes. 16-bit color and a wide P3 color gamut captures incredible color details, resulting in an increase of 3 stops of dynamic range processing in-camera.
Hasselblad Handling. Already known for sleek and top-notch body designs, Hasselblad makes a few upgrades to keep the X2D II fresh- a more comfortable, redesigned grip; a 7.5% weight reduction; an OLED touchscreen with HDR support and peak brightness that rivals modern smartphones; USB-C data transfer and charging; a 3400mAh battery rated for around 466 shots; and an internal 1TB SSD, great for both fast transfer and ensuring you always have enough storage, especially when paired with a CFexpress Type B memory card.
Phocus Mobile 2 App. Available for iOS and iPadOS- sorry, Android users- the Phocus Mobile 2 app supports the HDR workflow of the X2D II, enabling iPhone or iPad editing of exposure, noise reduction, and color tuning, all without even having to turn the camera on. You can also use your smart device to adjust camera settings like aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, as well as switch shooting modes and focus control.
