The JBL SRX912M is a multipurpose PA/monitor combo speaker with a 12" woofer and 1.5" compression driver. Key features include:
Works well as main PA or a 42º low-profile stage monitor
24-filter EQ control via rear LCD
M10 points for versatile rigging
Compact size with integrated handle
Touring System-Inspired Sound. Borrowing tech from JBL’s flagship tour-grade speaker systems, the SRX912M is positioned as a do-it-all PA for traveling artists, mobile DJs, and event planners. It offers a high output for its size (only 23" tall and 15" wide), with a 12" low-frequency driver and neodymium 1.5" annular-diaphragm compression driver that delivers crisp vocals, strong (but controlled) bass, and reduced distortion even at high volumes. The 90 × 60º waveguide ensures predictable coverage and smooth transitions between high and low frequencies. The speaker’s 42º tilt allows it to double as a stage wedge, complemented by a dedicated Monitor Mode built into the onboard user-adjustable filters and EQ parameters.
Brains Behind the Bass. The SRX912M is equipped with Digital Signal Processing so you can tune the sound however you like for specific uses. This speaker’s DSP includes 24-band EQ, limiters, gain control, and more that’s all accessible from an onboard LCD. These are also accessed with JBL Performance, which is part of JBL’s software suite for controlling and monitoring SRX900-series sound systems. To run this, you will need to connect an Ethernet cable from the speaker through a standard network switch. The software and speaker do not pair by Bluetooth. It requires a wired connection using the HControl protocol.
Power & Rigging. This is a self-powered speaker so you won’t have to worry about external amplifiers. This, combined with its DSP capabilities, makes this speaker truly “plug-and-play”. The built-in amp is designed for the rigors of the road and includes a large heat sink for reliable full-power performance. This is not a battery-powered speaker. It must be plugged into an outlet and can operate on any mains voltage between 100-250V. When on but not in use, it will automatically go into a low-power mode. Sporting a 35mm-compatible top hat, you can easily pop this speaker onto a standard audio stand. However, there are many rigging options for this speaker, including multiple QuickLink M10 attachment points for flying configurations or pairing with versatile U-brackets, such as the JBL Vertical U-Bracket and the JBL Horizontal U-Bracket. Lastly, this speaker sits inside an outdoor-grade birch cabinet with special bracing to minimize flex.
