Kessler Crane High-Speed Ultraquiet Slide Motor

The Kessler Crane High-Speed Ultraquiet Slide Motor is compatible with Kessler Second Shooter Plus, Kessler Second Shooter Pro Complete Kit, Kessler Crane CineShooter Pan & Tilt Head – Gold Mount, and Kessler Crane CineShooter Pan & Tilt Head – V-Mount motion control systems. The motor’s gearing ratio provides higher speeds and quieter operation but limits its use to horizontal slider setups. Also, regardless of the product name and Kessler’s claims, no motor is truly quiet.

A Motor Mount is required to mount this motor.

Is this motor really "ultraquiet"?

Regardless of the product name, motors are not quiet.

What is the length of the Cat5 cable included with the motor?

We include a 1-foot Cat5 cable by default, but a 6-foot Cat5 cable is available by request.

What is the best setup for tripod mounting this system?

The Kessler 3-foot CineSlider can technically be supported by a single center-mounted tripod, but to avoid bounce in the track, we recommend dual-sided medium-to-heavy-duty support when using the high-speed motor.

What is the maximum recommended speed of this motor?

It is recommended that the slide motor set-up speed be limited to 500 RPMs within CineShooter, Second Shooter Remote, or kOS. Also, Quiet Mode with RPMs limited to 500 should be enabled when programming directly on a CineShooter or Second Shooter PRO controller. This motor is extremely fast and could result in damage when using short tracks—we recommend prep time to set stopping points.
