Vibration Reduction. The built-in vibration reduction provides up to 5 stops of correction for minimizing camera shake at slower shutter speeds and producing sharper results when shooting hand-held.

High-Quality Optics. The 50-250mm’s seven-group/nine-element optical design includes one extra-low dispersion element that helps produce sharp, high-contrast images and reduce color fringing and aberrations throughout the zoom range. The Super Integrated Coating also helps keep optical aberrations and distortion at bay.

Stepping Motor Autofocus System. This system uses a stepping motor for smooth, nearly silent performance that’s great for stills and video alike. You also get full-time manual focusing for precision adjustments, while the internal-focusing design means that the lens maintains its length during focusing.
