HDMI Male-Male
These cables only work in one direction, they are not bi-directional. It is important to pay attention to which end is plugged into each device (source/recipient).
This is a premium 49.2ft long HDMI male (type A) to male (type A) cable from NTW. Key features include:
Built-in signal boosting. This cable features chips in both connectors that strengthen the video signal during transmission. This enables a full 10.2 Gbps data rate, even at 49ft!
Thin Design. Normally cables of this length would need to be extremely thick, but NTW has gotten it down to a reasonable 28AWG (about 3/8" diameter) due to their signal boosting technology.
HDMI Male-Male inputs are typically found on larger camcorders. If you are shooting video on DSLRs you will need HDMI Male-Mini cables.
Here are some video camcorders with full sized HDMI output:
- Canon: XF300, XF305, C100, C300 EF, C300 PL, C500 EF
- Sony: NEX-EA50UH, NEX-FS100U, NEX-FS700U, PMW-100, PMW-200
- RED: Scarlet-X, Epic-X, One M-X
