What’s Changed? Take your production to untethered levels with this Panasonic CX20 4K Camcorder w/ NDI HX2! Built with recording and streaming in mind, this camcorder is equipped with a 1/2.5" MOS sensor to capture up to 4K60p footage with high-speed readout and low rolling shutter distortion for moving subjects. Powered by the Venus Engine, the CX20 offers and upgraded processing system that produces high-quality imaging, even with large 4K60 datasets. It features an improved viewfinder, low bitrate recording, USB-C port, updated low-speed zoom, and a guideline display!

NDI|HX Upgrade. With the pre-installed NDI license from Vizrt, this version of the CX20 can transmit live video over IP to any NDI compatible hardware or software. The NDI implementation on this camera provides video, audio, camera control, & tally via one ethernet cable. Camera control may vary dependent upon the hardware of software solution being used.

Integrated Zoom Lens. The wide-angle 24x optical lens offers a zoom range of 25 to 600mm (35mm-equivalent), and it features 32x iZoom in 4K and 48x iZoom in HD. Panasonic’s exclusive high-precision AF also provides high-speed, accurate focusing for both 4K and Full HD shooting.

Recording Options. The camera supports a variety of high-quality recording options using the Venus engine, including 4:2:2 10-bit internal recording with a maximum 29.97p in UHD, and a maximum 59.94p in FHD. When recording in 10-bit, the camcorder delivers 4K 60p 4:2:2 10-bit HDMI output. It also supports HEVC recording (LongGOP/10-bit 4:2:0/MOV) at 59.94p with a bit rate of 200 Mb/s. In addition to MOV, MP4, and AVCHD, the AG-CX20 also supports P2 MXF for broadcast stations, with AVC-LongG support, plus AVC-Intra100/50 support planned via a future firmware update. Dual SD card slots support relay recording for virtually limitless record times.

IP Workflow. The AG-CX20 includes advanced IP networking features, such as built-in Wi-Fi support for HD live streaming to YouTube, Facebook, and other social sites via RTMP/RTMPS/RTSP protocols. In addition, the AG-CX20 includes an Ethernet connection for streaming and an NDI|HX connectivity for use in live production, as well as ROP tablet-based control.
