A Camera with Endurance. With a long battery life, continuous power via USB-C, and a uniquely-thin cooling fan, the Panasonic HC-X1600 is the go-to solution for recording long events. The body is compact and well-balanced for comfortable handheld use over long periods of time and includes pro-level inputs like dual 3-pin XLRs for external microphones, a headphone jack for monitoring, full-size HDMI, and dual SD card slots.
All-Encompassing Zoom Lens. The built-in lens covers a massive 4.12mm to 98.9mm range (25mm to 600mm in 35mm terms) and has a fast f/1.8-4 maximum aperture. It is supported by built-in ND filters, but it will also accept 62mm front screw-on filters. It has 24x optical zoom, which can be extended up to 48x with i.Zoom on. In addition to 5-axis hybrid stabilization, a ball-and-spring structure (Ball OIS) is used to stabilize the lens when zooming and improves small-amplitude blurring, which helps to prevent visual discomfort when filming fine details.
Versatile Recording Options. There are a lot of recording options in a variety of compression methods in this camcorder. Capture UHD 4K up to 59.94 fps in bitrates up to 200Mbps in MOV, MP4, or AVCHD codecs. Get creative with the Super Slow recording option in Full HD up to 120 fps. Wireless control via built-in Wi-Fi is possible when paired with the HC ROP app. Zoom and focus the lens, REC start/stop, adjust picture settings, and more from your smartphone or tablet.
