The Premium Heavy Duty Gimbal Kit is an all-in-one support package we put together for use with telephoto and super telephoto lenses larger than 300mm f/2.8. Key features include:
Ideal for supertelephoto lenses larger than 300mm f/2.8
Heavy-duty overhead four-section carbon-fiber legs
Weightless gimbal movement when balanced
Four-inch Arca-Swiss plate included
Induro GHB2 Gimbal. When properly balanced, the Induro GHB2 Gimbal makes the camera and lens seem almost weightless, with relatively simple vertical and horizontal tracking of moving objects. With 360º panning and a +90°/-90° tilt range, you can pretty much shoot in any position as long as the tripod legs you’re using have a wide stance and high weight capacity.
PU100 Quick-Release Plate Included. The GHB2 Gimbal uses the Arca-Swiss type standard quick-release plates. This rental includes one Induro PU100 4-inch lens plate. If you need additional lens plates, we carry four different sizes as separate rental items.
High-Quality Build. Constructed from magnesium alloy, the GHB2 itself is very sturdy. It’s 9.5 inches in height and tips the scales at 3.2 pounds. It features glove-friendly oversized lock knobs, and the 2.2-inch wide base that’s 3/8"-16 threaded takes advantage of the many tripod systems that offer a large platform.
Gitzo 3543 Tripod Legs. With its rated support of up to 55 lbs. (we wouldn’t push it past 40 to 45 lbs.) and 79.5-inch height fully extended, the Gitzo GT3543XLS Systematic Series 3 Carbon Fiber Tripod can get you a higher point-of-view than your common tripod. It’ll support just about any lens you put on it, as long as the tripod head you choose can handle it.
Four-Section Carbon-Fiber Legs. This Series 3 tripod uses twist-locks to extend each section. Gitzo’s “Gravity-Lock” design means the more downward weight applied, the stronger the hold. This is a flat-stage tripod, so there’s no center column to extend. The tripod itself weighs about 6.85 lbs. and can be folded down to a minimum height of 28.4 inches.
