Q & A

I got the RM-IP500 remote connected to the FR7 camera. Why isn't the camera moving?

Verify that the Pan/Tilt speed dial to the left of the joystick is turned up. When it’s turned all the way down, the camera moves so slowly that it might not appear to be moving at all.

I can’t get the RM-IP500 controller to connect to the FR7 camera. What can I do?

If you can’t get the RM-IP500 controller to connect to the FR7 camera, make sure that SETUP dip switch #3 on the back of the camera is flipped on to enable VISCA over IP control and then reboot the camera.
You should also verify that the FR7 camera and the RM-IP500 controller are on the same network and subnet configuration.

Is this cable comparable in size and weight to common ethernet cables?

This is the Terminator of ethernet cables. You’ll get unrelenting peak performance, but the tradeoff is bulk and an uncooperative working relationship.

Does the lens include the zoom pin?
