Zeiss Compact Prime CP.2 Cine Set (PL)

The Compact Prime CP.2 lenses are cine-lenses designed for use with DSLR cameras. For a more recent version of this cine set, we also rent a Zeiss CP.3 Cine 6-Lens Kit.

The Compact Prime CP.2 lenses are manufactured to an even higher standard than normal Zeiss ZE and ZF lenses, with fourteen-blade aperture rings, and tighter tolerances with low distortion and color matching. They’re built in a durable cine-style housing with geared manual iris and focus rings, and accurate lens-calibration scales.

Do you have any extenders that will work with this lens?

Yep! We offer the IB/E Optics PLx2 Optical Extender 2x that doubles the focal length of the lens it’s mounted to. Not sure if this is something you need or not? Contact us for help deciding if it’s the right tool for your job.

May I change these lens’s mounts?

If you change these lens’s mounts, we’ll charge you a $250 fee per lens when you return them. Yes, we can tell if you’ve changed the mount—we seal these lenses.

Do I need to use a lens support with these lenses?

These lenses are designed to work on cameras with native PL mounts and do not require a lens support when used as intended. If you plan on using an adapter to mount these lenses to a camera with a less secure mount, such as a MFT, we encourage you to use a lens support to avoid damaging the camera. You can find a lens support here.
