Stellar Shots. Add this Celestron NexStar 6SE 150mm f/10 Telescope to your next starry night viewing to capture up close imaging of the world around you. The NexStar 6SE is a portable, yet powerful, Schmidt-Cassegrain-style scope that enhances the viewing of planets, the moon, stars, and so much more. The StarBright XLT optical coating system provides you with increased light transmission throughout the entire optical path with multi-coated lenses, highly reflective multi-coated mirrors, and optical glass elements.
Camera Compatibility. To capture celestial photos and videos, you will need a T-Mount adapter that fits the camera you plan to use:
Photographing objects is entirely optional. This telescope is great for observing right out of the box. The T-Mount adapters are available separately. Also available separately is the Celestron Flexible Dew Shield DX, which is essential for prevent condensation from reaching the front corrector plate of the optical tube.
Celestial Control. Let’s dig on into what this scope is capable of! The 6SE’s features are adjusted using the iconic NexStar+ computer hand controller, which holds a database of over 40,000 celestial objects, and up to 100 additional user-defined destinations. The controller sports a 2-line, 16 character LCD display for you to input the object you’d wish to see in the sky. Choose from nine slew speeds, multiple tracking modes, alignment procedures, and much more directly from the controller!
Included Support. Along with the telescope and mount, you get a stainless steel tripod with a tray attached to hold things like eyepieces and filters. The eyepiece has a 1.25-inch barrel and 25mm focal length which produces 60x magnification. You also get a 1.25-inch, 90-degree eyepiece that offers much better comfort when observing at or near the zenith (essentially for viewing directly above you). The telescope is powered with eight AA batteries (batteries not included). This rental does not include an AC adapter, SkyPortal Wi-Fi Module, or any filters.
