The Benro C1691 tripod and ballhead is a cost-effective kit that’s ideal for photographers on the go. Key features include:

Portability. The Benro C1691 tripod has a ‘fold back’ design where the legs actually reverse over the center post and ballhead, folding to a 17-inch length weighing only 3.6 pounds for both the tripod and ballhead.

Heigh and Weight Ratings. Unfolded, it expands to a 62-inch maximum height with the center post extended. It’s rated to 17 lbs. capacity, but we think about 6 or 7 lbs. is more realistic with the center post extended.

High-Quality Ballhead. The ballhead, while small, is quite nice with separate lock and drag adjustment knobs, a quick-release clamp that’s compatible with an Arca Swiss QR system, and a 360° graduated panning scale.

Versatile Five-Section Legs. The five-section carbon fiber legs have dust-resistant twist locks. One leg can be detached for use as a monopod.

Please Note:

• We include the standard Induro PU50 camera plate with this tripod. However, please understand it’s a two-inch small camera plate. If you’re planning on using a larger lens, you may want to rent an additional lens plate. We rent four different sizes to give you the most flexibility.

• If you’ll be using a 400 f2.8 or similar size lens, we recommend getting a separate heavy duty tripod and a Wimberley II or Markins Q20 Ballhead.
