The Ricoh G900 II retains the physical design, advanced security, & information management support the previous G900 offers, but expands functionality with Full HD webcam capability and FlashAir compatibility. Key features include:
Waterproof down to 65.6-feet
20MP 1/2.3-inch BSI CMOS sensor
SD card slot; 6.5GB internal memory
5x optical zoom; 8.1x digital zoom
What’s Changed? While the Ricoh G900 II retains everything physically and mechanically as its predecessor, it does have a couple additions! You can now connect the G900 II directly to a computer, engage UVC mode, and turn it into a functioning Full HD webcam via USB. Additionally, the SD card slot is now FlashAir compatible, which supports wireless data transfer.
Tough Physical Design. The G900 II’s main selling point is its extremely durable build. It’s waterproof down to 65.6 feet, shockproof to falls from up to 6.6 feet, crushproof to up to 220 lbf. of pressure, freezeproof down to 14°F, and dustproof. It’s also chemical-resistant to ethanol disinfection, bleach disinfection, and liquid chlorine dioxide, making it ideal for use in business, industrial, civil engineering, construction, and disaster-relief settings. 20MP BSI CMOS Sensor. The 20MP BSI CMOS sensor enables the G900 II to capture high-res stills and UHD 4K30 video. Its back-illuminated design provides excellent clarity, minimal noise, and a 1,250-25,600 ISO range that lets you work in an array of lighting conditions. There are shake-reduction options for diminishing
Built-In 5x Zoom Lens with LED Ring Light. The integrated 5-25mm f/3.5 to f/5.5 lens provides a 35mm focal-length range equivalent to 28mm-140mm and a 0.4-inch minimum focusing distance, making it a strong choice for a wide range of applications. Its nine-group/eleven-element design maximizes image quality while reducing optical aberrations and ensuring corner-to-corner sharpness. The lens is surrounded by a six-LED ring light with configurable lighting patterns, ten brightness settings, and compatibility with the camera’s barcode scanning mode.
Shake Reduction. The G900 II’s Movie SR+ setting acts as an “electronic gimbal” to minimize the appearance of camera shake when you’re shooting handheld video. There’s also a standard Movie SR mode that clips the frame to promote steadier video and produce a more neutral, less distorted appearance.
Memo Function. A memo function lets you attach up to one hundred 128-character text items or one 30-second audio file to your images. This feature also lets you browse your stored memos for relevant information. You can use the G900 II’s barcode scanning mode to attach scanned barcode information to an image as embedded memo data.
Password Protection. You can use a password to partially or completely restrict access to the G900 II’s camera functionality, menus, internal memory, and USB connection. This camera will store two separate passwords—one for an admin and the other for a standard user—and the password protection extends to encrypting SD cards to protect your images if your card is lost or stolen.
Controls and Display. This camera’s interface is designed for easy operation in harsh conditions, even when you’re wearing gloves. A customizable ADJ button gives you easy access to your most frequently used features, a top dial lets you quickly switch between shooting modes, and an ergonomic four-way controller lets you select your desired camera functions. The fixed 3.0-inch 1.04m-dot LCD screen’s brightness and AR coating make it easy to read in most any lighting conditions.
GPS, Power, and Memory. The G900 II’s built-in GPS module is fast and accurate, and lets you record location information to images via its memory function. It also gives you access to an electronic compass that covers 360° in 16 directions. This camera includes a rechargeable DB-110 battery, and it records images to a separately available SDHC/XC memory card via its single slot. It also has 6.5GB of internal memory for image storage.
