Nikon Z System. The Sigma 56mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary was designed specifically for cameras in Nikon’s Z-mount system. Z-mount lenses only work with Z-mount cameras, and Z-mount cameras are only compatible with Z-mount lenses.

Great for Low-Light Shooting. This lens provides a 84mm equivalent focal length on crop-frame Nikon Z-mount cameras. Its fast f/1.4 maximum aperture makes it great for low-light shooting and gives you extensive depth-of-field control for selective-focusing techniques. Its nine-blade curved aperture makes for smooth out-of-focus highlights.

Stepping Autofocus Motor. The stepping motor provides fast, smooth, and nearly silent autofocus operation for stills and video alike.

Advanced Optics. This lens’s six-group/ten-element optical design includes one Special Low-Dispersion element and two aspherical elements to help produce excellent sharpness, color accuracy, and clarity while minimizing aberrations and fringing. Sigma applies a Super Multi-Layer coating to each of the lens elements to combat flare and ghosting for contrasty, color-neutral shots. This all makes for a highly versatile lens that’s been designed from the ground up for crop-frame shooters.
