The Sony PMW-300K1 XDCAM HD422 is a professional-level camcorder. Key features include:
- Sony EX3 Replacement. The PMW-300 is a successor to Sony’s famous EX3; like that camera, it features a hybrid shoulder mount design and interchangeable 1/2" EX mount.
- Key Technical Features. The camera utilizes three 1/2" Full HD 1920 × 1080 Exmor CMOS sensors and supports the 50 Mbps MPEG HD422 codec and MXF recording. It’s equipped with dual ExpressCard SxS memory card slots, and can support up to four hours of 50 Mbps MPEG HD422 recording (when using two 64GB SxS Cards not included). It supports both UDF and FAT file format modes as well.
- Notable Modes & Features. Other functions include Slow/Quick motion playback, focus magnification, slow shutter, shutter angle settings and picture cache recording. The PMW-300 features four-channel audio recording, as well as HD/SDI and composite/HD-Y outputs. There’s six Gamma settings, four HyperGamma settings and a USB port for using the camcorder as a card reader.
