The Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 Lens Flash Kit is a comprehensive solution to bridge compatibility between the RF 50mm f/1.8 STM and MT-26EX-RT Macro Twin Lite. Key features include:
The Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 Lens Flash Kit includes:
Canon RF Mount. The Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM belongs to Canon’s line of RF-mount lenses. It’s compatible with RF cameras, such as the EOS R5, EOS R6, EOS R, EOS Ra, and EOS RP. It does not work with Canon EF-mount cameras.
Versatile Normal-Length Prime. This lens’s versatile field of view and fast aperture make it great for a range of applications, including vacation photography and general “walking-around” photography. Its rounded seven-blade diaphragm gives your shots a pleasing bokeh quality, and its bright f/1.8 aperture gives you substantial control over depth of field and lets you work in low light.
Advanced Optical Design. This lens’s five-group/six-element optical construction includes a precision-molded aspherical element that helps combat spherical aberrations and distortions for accurate rendering and maximum sharpness. A Super Spectra Coating has been applied to each element to boost contrast and color neutrality, and to minimize ghosting and flare.
Built-In Autofocus. This lens uses a ring-type Stepping Motor to provide fast, accurate, and nearly silent autofocus performance for both still and video shooters. You also get full-time manual-focus override for precision adjustments.
Flash Adapter. Bridge compatibility between Canon’s RF 50mm f/1.8 Macro IS STM Lens and MT-26EX-RT Macro Twin Lite with this Canon AD-M1-MA Macro Flash Adapter for RF 50mm f/1.8! This adapter only fits the dimensions of the 50mm f/1.8 Macro IS STM, and will not work with any other lens.
Radio Flash for Macro Shooting. The Canon MT-26EX-RT Macro Twin Lite is designed for macro shooting and provides the benefits of radio-flash capabilities. Its two flash heads illuminate up-close subjects, and they give you a guide number of 85.3’ at ISO 100 when fired simultaneously. You also have the option of manually dialing in settings down to 1/512 power.
Configurable Flash Heads. Both of the flash heads are detachable, so you can position them around your subject to produce a range of useful lighting setups. Additionally, you can use Canon’s 2.4 GHz wireless triggering system found in the 600EX II-RT / 430EX III-RT / ST-E3-RT Speedlite Transmitter to easily incorporate other flashes into your lighting configuration. When the heads are attached to the lens, you can rotate them 60° horizontally and 45° vertically. Each head also includes a removable diffuser for greater fine tuning.
Additional Features. The illuminated LCD guarantees that you’ll be able to adjust this flash’s settings even in low light, and the updated white LCD focus-assist lamps help you accurately focus on subjects at close range. This flash is powered by four AA batteries, and its recycling time is from 0.1 to 5.5 seconds.
