Long Reach. The 500mm focal length allows you to capture subjects at a great distance. This is an ideal choice for sports and wildlife photography, or any time your subject is far away. The f/4 aperture lets in more light than any comparable focal length zoom, allowing better performance in low light.

SSM Autofocus Motor. The piezoelectric-driven motor provides extremely fast and accurate autofocusing, which is a necessity for the fast-moving subjects the lens was designed to capture.
